Less a bank app
More a coach
Six things Moncass does, and exactly how each one works - including the number most money apps get wrong.
Every account, one clean view
Balances arrive from every account you have linked and settle into a single net figure - what you actually have, after what you owe on your cards. Accounts stay individually visible underneath, so the number is never a black box you have to trust.
Net ₹84,200 · HDFC ₹61,400 · SBI ₹34,800 · ICICI card −₹12,000
- Balances refresh together, so two accounts are never from different days.
- Card outstanding is subtracted, not listed beside the total.
- Hide balances with one tap when you are not alone.
A daily read on your money
Safe-to-spend is the number most apps get wrong. It is not your balance divided by days left. Moncass starts from income, subtracts the savings you intend to keep and the bills already committed this month, takes off what you have spent, spreads what remains over the days left - then caps it at the cash actually sitting in your accounts.
₹1,240 safe to spend today · after ₹8,400 of bills and your ₹10,000 savings target
- Every figure opens a "see why" breakdown of how it was reached.
- Upcoming bills are protected before the number is calculated, not after.
- Capped at real cash, so it can never suggest spending money you do not have.
An AI that answers back
Ask in English or Hinglish and the reply comes back in whichever you used. Every answer is grounded in your own income, bills and goals, and shows the working - so you can disagree with it, which is the point. It follows the thread too: ask a follow-up and it remembers what you were talking about.
"Not comfortably yet - that EMI pushes your fixed costs to 61% of income and stalls Emergency by 7 months."
- Answers cite the numbers they were built from.
- English and Hinglish, switching whenever you do.
- It says "I am not sure" rather than inventing a figure.
Plain-language insights
Spending is compared against your own normal rather than a generic budget, so the app only speaks up when something genuinely moved. Categories are learned from your merchants and corrected in one tap - and every correction trains the model on your account specifically.
Food is 35% higher than usual this month, mostly weekend deliveries. Everything else is on trend.
- Compared against your own months, not an average Indian household.
- One tap recategorises a merchant, permanently.
- Export any range to CSV whenever you want the raw numbers.
Never miss a due date
Recurring payments are detected from your transaction history rather than typed in by hand, so the list stays right when a rent amount changes or a subscription renews at a new price. Nudges arrive in time to act on, and subscriptions you have stopped using get flagged on their own.
Card payment ₹4,300 due in 3 days. Paying now instead of on the due date saves ₹1,800 in interest.
- Recurring payments detected automatically, not entered manually.
- Unused subscriptions surfaced after 60 days of no activity.
- Reminder time is yours to set, including quiet hours.
Private by design
Access runs entirely through India’s regulated Account Aggregator framework - the same rails banks use for consent-based sharing. You approve on your own bank’s consent screen, for a scope and a duration you choose, and you can withdraw it in one tap without contacting anyone.
Consent: balances + transactions · 12 months · revocable any time
- Read-only. Moncass cannot move, transfer or withdraw money.
- No banking credentials are ever requested or stored.
- Nothing beyond login is mandatory - connect an account only when ready.
All six,
from day one
Nothing here is a paid tier or a later phase. Join the early access list and get the whole thing.
